Michael F. Foran, Ph.D., CPA, CMA, CIA, is a Professor of Accountancy at the University of Michigan - Dearborn. He received his PhD in Accounting from the University of Washington. He is a member of the American Accounting Association, the Financial Executives Institute, the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA), and the Institute of Management Accounting. He has served as chairman and/or a member of many national, regional, and local committees in these organizations. He has spoken on numerous occasions to various academic and professional groups. Dr. Foran has published in The Accounting Review, Accounting Horizons, Journal of Accountancy, Management Accounting, The Tax Advisor, The National Public Accountant, and many other academic and professional journals. He received The Michigan Association of CPAs 2006 Accounting Educator of the Year Award. |
