Vivek Sharma is an Assistant Professor of Finance at The University of Michigan-Dearborn. He has a Ph.D. in Finance form Virginia Tech. He also has an MBA from Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow (1992) and a B.Tech (Hons.) from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur (1989). He worked for two years in the area of credit control and project management with companies like Tata Steel and Shriram Enterprises in India. After that, he taught finance at the MBA level at Birla Institute of Management Technology. He was also associated with the Chartered Financial Analyst Program in India. For almost five years he taught finance and accounting for the University of London in Singapore. During the summer of 2000, he worked as a Financial Consultant, designing "Financial Management Framework" for Info-Comm. Development Authority of Singapore. He has taught Investments, Derivative Pricing and International Finance to senior students at the Pamplin College of Business, Virginia Tech. His current areas of interest are Investments, Corporate Finance and derivatives pricing. |
